Cory Schwichtenberg
Owner and Operater
Cory Schwichtenberg created Refresh Pressure Washing in April of 2022 as a means to do something greater for his community. He has always had the dream of creating success through a business of his own, so in August of 2022 he quit his job as a Bartender and Assistant Manager of Freetail Brewing Co. here in San Antonio, Texas, in order to pursue his dream.
Cory grew up in Tucson, Arizona and moved to San Antonio, Texas in January of 2020. Just months before the Coronavirus pandemic shut down the entire economy. What a great time to move! He lived in the same house until he was 18 years old, and naturally always envied his friends who had moved around as it was an experience he had never encountered. Cory stayed in-state for college, attending the University of Arizona, where he obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Studies. During his tenure at UA he knew that he wanted to get out and experience a new place once he finished his degree, so he did just that, packing up all of his stuff and moved. He has lived the experience he dreamed of, and has fell in love with the city in the proccess.
Working in the service/restaurant industry for all of his employment history, Cory is no stranger to providing the best customer service possible. He started his work history at Eegee’s, a local fast food sandwich chain native to Tucson, where he worked for a little over 3 years. At Eegee’s he excelled at his position so much so that he was promoted to a managerial position the day he turned 18 and was legally allowed to do so. In fact, the training to become a manager was a 2 month process and his superiors allowed him to start training 2 months prior to his birthday so that as soon as he was of age he could be given the keys and start his new position. After leaving Eegee’s, he joined The Hungry Fox family and stayed there for close to 5 years. The Hungry Fox is a small family owned breakfast diner that has been open since 1964! It played an instrumental role in putting Cory through college, and he is very grateful for the people he met throughout his time there. His values as a person began to develop much deeper as a direct result of those people who he worked closely with. He worked with The Hungry Fox crew up until it was time to make the big move to San Antonio. Next came Freetail Brewing Co. here in town. Once landed in the new city, Cory needed an income source and serving was really all he ever knew, so it was a quick choice made to find another serving job in town in the interim of deciding what it is that he wanted to do in life. The Freetail family made working there one his favorite jobs. The people he met and the connections he made helped to develop his skills further, pushing him to figure out what he wanted to do in life.
So why pressure washing? It really is a perfect job for Cory. He loves physical work. He loves working with his hands, tools, and equipment. He is a builder at heart, he loves taking things apart and putting them back together. This is all due in part to his father who was a mechanic for much of his life so Cory always saw firsthand the similar type of work. Cory is a bit of a perfectionist, so he pays attention to all of the small details that matter the most. We can all agree that we love a clean house, and cleaning the interior of our homes is such a normal routine for the vast majority of us, sometimes we can forget about the exterior which is equally important to do as routine maintenace to ensure the best return on investment of your property as a homeowner. Cory hopes to provide a service that brightens up the exterior of your home, bringing back the curb appeal, making it look brand new again. Cory gets great satisfaction knowing those who have rendered his services get happy when they pull up to their home. It makes a huge difference, and he hopes that everyone gets to experience seeing the dramatic effect that it can have to have something as simple as your driveway cleaned.
